You are the one who makes me see

that life is only the first step

to a great but hard existance

that fills us all with some regret.



You are the one who helped me learn

that there is more to life then me

that I can conquer all my odds

if that is what I want to be.



You are the one who always saw

the good person that lies in me

though at times it doesn't show

and soon my anger is set free.



You are the one who always knows

how to bring my spirits back

when the world just gets to tough

and I feel I just may crack



You are the one who showed me love

as both a love and as a friend

the way that this all started

is the same way I hope it ends
