Bloodied strings
Of fleshy tissue
From severed limbs,
Have been sewn
To the cornea of my eyes
Through your
Inability to heal.
God Bless You.

My faith sometimes fails me
My faith sometimes fails me in that thought, bishu. I forgive myself for this shortcoming in faith... and still when my eyes behold unnecessary suffering, I fall. I fall, friend.

"No", she replied, "but I have experienced it. "

I don't know understand the
I don't know understand the comment, but ok popeye. The poem is written out of compassion for those people who find healing impossible after trauma. The video show a veteran who has overcome a great deal more than most. So when I said, "my faith fails me"...what I really meant was that "my faith has failed so many less injured than he, (the man in the video), who still appear sadly lost". I wouldn't waste my tears too much anymore on the warriors. Too many deformed babies to cry over...and I do. Anyway, most of the warriors I know would rather have it that way. They don't want to felt sorry for or pitied.
