don't hate your naked body,
or give care to those who do,
if we were born with clothes on,
i could understand those few.
methinks it much more shameful,
to be someone who has to hide,
from the nakedness of how you feel
about what you hold inside.

Author's Notes/Comments:
this poem is about people who hide their body to hide their true feelings. it is about the spotless house that belongs to the families who hide their dysfunction from the world by pretending everything is perfect, casting out anything they deem as misfit that might one day expose them to who they truly are

Ode to nudity
Your ode to nudity has not been commented upon yet I see. Complete nudity may not be very nice-looking always unless under some circumstances. A liltle bit of cover is necessary in the (so called)modern world/society. On one point I fully agree i.e. clothes cover up the flaws of a person. I believe you hinted at a deeper meaning of 'masks' and 'paints' of acting --- etiquette, manners, etc. I don't know. Anyway, nice to read & thought evoking nightlight1220.

Yes, bishu, I was hinting to
Yes, bishu, I was hinting to the things about ourselves we 'think' are ugly. But they are not necessarily ugly. they are part of our human nature, and we make them uglier than they have to be by placing masks over them. Our conditioning plants the seed our inauthenticity. Thank you for reading, and your insight too. ~peace~

"No", she replied, "but I have experienced it. "
