An Expression Of Love

I am gravely sorry
That you hold pain within you.

We share love,

Whether you choose to accept it
In your reality or not.

I am empathetic towards your pain.

I am not a psychiatrist.
I am not a psychologist.
I do not know how to control your delusions,
Only you know how to do that.

I do know this.

When you can clearly see,
That keeping your mouth shut,
Instead of opening it,
Is hurting far more people
Than it is helping...

...it's time to open your damn mouth.

We all choose our delusions in life.

Tough love is most difficult

Tough love is most difficult to give in a way that makes people aware, but not resentful. I have struggled all of my life with trying to find just the right words so many times, but then I always wind up just saying it from my heart, sometimes it helps the relationship more than anything else ever could...and sometimes people have their own path, and we must face we do not know them as well as we think we did. Still, I always find solace in that I was authentic with them...as those we call 'friends' deserve nothing less, and we owe no less than that integrity to ourselves. Good Luck.

"No", she replied, "but I have experienced it. "

Thank you, Poetic. People say

Thank you, Poetic. People say that words can hurt them. I say that it is the thoughts that we allow to create the feelings that hurt us. In essence, it is more complicated than just saying 'words hurt'.
