In the rain
Images of the past all remain
Like thunder pounding
Lightning in a dark surrounding
Over and over like a bad rerun
Out of ash coming undone
The mirrors show no reflection
No light to give direction
Long dark days of night
The struggle between black and white
Hiding the pain of the mind I'm losing
Circulating thoughts confusing
Creating clouds of chaos along the way
Painting raindrops over the grey
The storm continues on
Until the day is gone
Pouring into tomorrow
And all the days that follow
Once again
In the rain
