Mystery covers the frail form of this girl
Already in the awkward transition from child to woman.
Simply dressed, her beautiful dark hair half way down her back
Which shines perfectly in the sunlight.
It’s her irresistible charm, intelligence beyond her years
Ringing laughter
That draws her to people
And makes them overlook her plainness.
Oh, those emotions which she seemed to display on her sleeve.
Such happiness always carried around her
And she had yet to know great sorrow
Or so they thought.
Had anybody ever bothered to pay closer attention,
To the emotion in her beautiful eyes
Instead of their pretty colours
They would see an immense sorrow
Bitter tears flowing from her eyes,
Rolling down her cheeks
Falling into the lake
Ripples forming rings that get larger and larger
Then disappear
Her sobs would have melted and eroded
Even the coldest and hardest of hearts.
They seem to resonate through the air
And cling there, vibrating…
She cried
And the world seemed to darken.
aww! Val!
