Imagine a world
just like your own.
Is that so hard to do?
Now imagine
that every thing you see
Has no meaning whatsoever
Every painting,
book,
or show on TV,
every shoe, or
shirt, [or Ab-Roller,]
or half-eaten cheese,
has always been there,
and no story,
of any importance at least,
lies behind itself.
Is that so hard to do?
Now imagine
a world where you are alone.
And your dreams keep you alive.
And you hurt yourself now and then
You force yourself to cry.
Because you know this can't be real
And you dream and dream and...
...imagine a world
...Where everyone's your friend
...And your decisions mean nothing
...Because good things happen in the end
But just like that the world fades
because it's so unreal
and you put in an old CD
and wish this wasn't your life
Wake up from those dreams
and realize the truth
Look at the "Real" around you
Is that so hard to do?
i am definitely a fan of this one, it's sad but i really like the wake up part at the end. and you shouldn't joke around about me critiquing all your poems, i just might do it... haha and thank you for critiquing mine as well, it always makes me happy when someone has any comment, even if it's just to tell me about their chess playing skills.
i don't have anythign to say, but i guess i'll leave a comment
well i liked this one. and it made me cry.
beautifully written
