I cant ask you to love me overnight

I wont try, I wont fight

Soon you'll be gone

And I'll wait all along



I dont fall in love that simple

But you've managed to make a dimple

I wont ask you to stay

Come back to me is what I will pray



There's a lot that I cant do

But I would try just for you

It might sting or even burn

But I'd await your return



I'm not going to bug you

But while you're gone I'll stay true

All I can ask for

Is please dont shut the door
