I look beyond the grey stained sky,

And in the very depths of these dark clouds is a single beam of pure light shining through

I bathe in its light and feel the warmth rush through my lifeless body

From what once used to be my broken down palace,

Is now inhabited with lush green leaves,

Butterflies and wondrous life

Every breath taken in,

Happiness and freedom strengthens in me

I am running away from the ugly past, turning away from the future

Looking for now.

There you people are once again,

Trying to convince me otherwise

My heart is no longer open and unprotected to the harsh  

Things you have done

Going to look for a better place,

Somewhere I can stay

So I could finally be myself,

There would be no more things to hide

And for that I am leaving you behind, I deserve love and respect in this world

I was never given either of the two, so when the day finally comes don’t regret losing me

I am leaving this unbearable trap

Flying away because,

I have learned to love myself.
