The procession runs smoothly

We all stand in place

As we start to exchange vows

I see a tear on your face

You're not one to show emotion

But today you are true

As you look deep in my eyes

And say, "I do"

Lightly the rain starts to drop

As we head for cover

And softly you whisper

"God, I love her"

I smile as I hear you speak

Your words warm my heart

And our new life together

I can't wait to start

I wait for our guests

To join us inside

And stand next to you

With the greatest of pride

To have made it this far

Was the easy road

What comes next

Is the challenge I'm told

You gently squeeze my hand

It's time for the rings

They've both been blessed now

I faintly hear our friend start to sing

You lift my veil

I see another tear

Lightly you kiss my lips

I quickly forget every fear

As we turn around

We've started our new life

Greeting our friends

As husband and wife.
