There is so much going on around me

Sometimes it is hard to feel happy

It's like I'm in a zone not meant to feel

There's not a single emotion to conceal

Just moment to moment

As if I am not human, but rather just a component

As if my day to day

Is just matter of gray

There's no high or lows

Each just just moves and flows

There's so much going on in every direction

and no time for even a slight bit of affection

If I could magically cast a slow down

and simply just feel the ground

Maybe I'd be able to see something and realize

or even feel a little bit alive.
