He Tried, But Failed

As I traveled through the mist of time
Through past and future - different design
Medieval, Prehistoric, fossils reborn
Traveling seas through windy storm
I came upon the earth's beginning
Before life began resisting
Black as night, no sky nor moon
No sun no stars, but something soon
I trembled at the sound he gave
when calling out the seven days
More or less I traveled home
To a place where I feel safe and warm
Thinking back through what I felt
Realizing, my heart began to melt
If I could change just one thing
I'd put peace among the living things
God took time to let us live
To bring us up from little kids
We're all forgetting who gave us life
And what he went through was grief and strife
So let's give praise to the lord above
For let one thing fly, the flooded white dove
