today
i was once again
swept off my feet
by a poem
like
a nose iching
a muscle twitching
a cramp in the calf
the tingling of a toe
shrug of a shoulder
a tickling
feathery
stroke
...
a poem
like
the natural roll
of an eye in its socket
with the possibility
of sudden tears
the shivering
of chilling
fears
sneaking
up to me
it gripped me
suddenly
urging me
quickly!
grasp me -
for i am impatient
like a sneeze
hastily
i penned it
- briefly -
- bravely -
on a leaf
only then could i slip
into a dreamless sleep
draped
in the satin négligé
of this mild mild
misty day
and the poem
returned to play
...
myra
sweet
and
worth the visit
