My senses remain extremely acute.
I hear all that is spoken
and all that remains unsaid.
I see all that is obvious
and all that does not move.
I feel all that I can put my hands on
and all that cannot be reached.
I speak all that you can hear
and all that is said in silence.
I smell all aromas that surround me
and all that comes without a scent.
I understand all that has been
presented to me,
but the truth lies
in what hasn't been said.
What a great point you made in the final two lines:
"the truth lies
in what hasn't been said."
That is soooo true. You can't look at what a person says you must look at their actions. Words are meaningless without actions to back them up. Very good poem!
