I've run flat out of sympathies
Punch-drunk-high on enmities
This vicious, cunting, foul disease
throws me down onto my knees!
Taste the shards your heart discards...
...and swallow...
Breathing in impure thoughts
My heart, my mind, the rage distorts
Piss away what once you sought
Seek refuge in the nerves now fraught
Stop...
Breathe...
Think...
Seethe...
Broken hearts just snarl and grieve
I can't stay static
I can't be still
Your vacillation makes me ill
You want my love?
You want a friend?
Am I your hope, or just your trend?
One...two...three...flawed!
My heart revolts, though smitten
Expectant, cracked, afraid
It will not lie on tainted sheets
upon the bed you made
It flinches at your touch
Recoils from your caress
Slinks from you, sweet succubus
and all that you profess
I watched as your heart split in two
the same way as before
I watched you give into his charms
throw all trust to the floor
In smitten curiosity
you see a darker force
I will admit my eagerness
can be construed as coarse
Who? What? When Why?
(Are those the thoughts that make you sigh?)
But hurt is not
a one-way street
a knife gouges me too
plunged by you
you misconstrue
your heart wavers, untrue
I push your buttons
You push mine
I cross - you spat across - the line
Fall from the skies
Far from divine
Blood drains straight from this heart of mine
"None of your business"
so you said
But those four words
fuck with my head
You place affection at his feet
Now you've the nerve to play discreet?
It does concern me
in this case
This is one fact you can't erase
This kind of love, not built to share
Two hearts at once you can't ensnare
Stop...
Breathe...
Sink...
Grieve...
A shattered heart can't help but seethe...

Again, another awesome work that really translates the emotion you, or the character, was feeling!!! You've got some serious talent hun! :)
Although, either I'm not as intelligent as everyone tells me so, or I'm having a really dense moment but...I get the poem, but I don't get how the title of the poem ties into the poem itself? I know, stupidity at it's finest knocking on the door (rolls eyes and laughs)
