She outlines her eyes in onyx,
Whisps of silk falling in mountian pools,
Laughter plays as windchimes,
A snort and I am smiling as well,
Fingers run through silk.
Diamonds fall from mountian pools,
Onyx rivers mar pale cheeks,
My lips speckled onyx,
Let me kiss away your tears,
Fingers run through silk.
Winter comes to mountian pools,
Stainless steel lies about the answer,
She decorates her writsts with rubys,
I will hold you if youll let me,
Fingers run through silk.
She outlines her eyes with onyx,
Allow me to find your smile,
Melodys play in mountian pools,
A snort and I am smiling,
Fingers run through silk.
Beautiful use of imagery, and
Beautiful use of imagery, and the several repetitions of the title as lines in the poem is a very subtle strategy, and gives the poem a structure and a haunting sound. This is a very good poem, and I am glad I read it tonight.
