A Child's Faith

I believe in Him, my Heavenly Father.

He is there when I need him most in my life.

When I need him most, I kneel down on my knees

And pray to the one who sent me here to earth.

He is there when I need him, I cry out in tears,

And ask him to help me through all of my fears,

And I plead unto him to know what is right,

To find my great worth, and to see his pure light.

So I ask him to tell me what I was know,

To feel like that child I was long ago,

So innocent, pure, with love in my heart,

To know of my worth and of my life's part.

At the end of my cry in the name Jesus Christ,

I listen with true intent to know right.

Then all of a sudden joy fills my heart.

I now know the truth, my life's missing part.

He has testified to me of my great worth,

And now I know that I can say these words:

"I faith in him, I do.

I have faith to do his will.

I have faith that I will see him again

Beyond the veil.

For I know that he's my God

And I know that I'm his child,

And he proved it to me on that day,

So meek and mild.

I have that child's faith

And now I know."
