Memories that will never be the same

Lying awake thinking of no other
Random thoughts continue to smother
I close my eyes and count to ten
But there you are again and again
To hear of you makes me turn
Reaching out, I once again yearn
Told by others you are doing well
So many things I want to tell
Without you, I am so lost
Losing you was the greatest cost
My life now so incomplete
Just a glance would be a treat
I've thought about stopping by
But I'd only break down and cry
