Blood ran its course of gravity down the unleveled hardwood pouring down the drain. The ringing of a single scream slowly fades while reality falls back unto me only to become several darker shades than what it used to seem. I am not alone in this room; several faceless entities in are poised in my direction as if they were staring at me. They stand emotionless and look exactly alike. I look a mangled body that’s lying face down, bleeding from the chest out. My memory seems faint and I can’t recall why I am holding this bloodied knife. I share a moment of silence with these mysterious creatures as one slowly moves forward to turn the dead over. At this point all the ringing has stopped, and the only sounds to be heard are those of dripping blood which resonate in such a way it could slow time. With the body turned over I look at the only other face in the room besides my own only see a reflection of my own. I quickly look down frightened to find a sharp pain devouring my chest and dried blood staining my clothing. I slowly back up only to be accompanied with the corner of the room. One of the men then held out his hand and slowly placed it on the blank patch skin I that I thought was my face still. Upon his touch eternity flashed through my mind. I understood all and eternal happiness rushed through my veins all in a instant. A voice spoke in my head and it was already understood it was from the man standing before me, “Welcome home, everything is okay now,” and the feeling I used to get when I smiled with joy overwhelmed my consciousness.
