VERDA'S STORY
once upon a time and such a long time ago
in a galaxy far far away
but still somehow back at this place
we affectionately call home
there lived a very devote CHRISTIAN woman
named "VERDA"
and one spring day she made a solemn promise
to her GOD -- that if she was ever able
to get to HEAVEN and be reunited with her folks
and childhood friends
that she would try her best to conceive 7 children
and name each one after the days of the week
her peers jokingly called her
"VERDA" our very own neighbourhood "SPACE CADET"
because her ideas to help this world
were sometimes really far far out there
(her own way of thinking I mean)
but anyways there happened to be this young man
named "JIMMY" as he was "VERDA's" first born son --
her 1st born son or child
but yet as strange events began to unfold
during the next several years
"VERDA" was only able to conceive 6 times
so to be true to her word
she named each child after the 1st
6 days of the week
and they were called
monday, tuesday, wednesday, thursday, friday & saturday
so far all seemed OK
but on that one particular
following next SUNDAY
when most CHRISTIANS were resting on the SABBATH
but OH NO not "VERDA" -- for on that particular day
SUNDAY she went to work to stay true to her
vow or promise to her GOD
so as the legend goes
on this one weird SUNDAY
she decided to name (SUNDAY'S CHILD)
-- just for fun --
something else other than just a regular
day of the week -- and she eventually --
came up with the name of "JIMMY"
and as I mentioned in the beginning of this story
"VERDA" was already "JIMMY'S MUM"
anyways one fine spring day
"VERDA" eventually arrived In HEAVEN
and was reunited with her folks and childhood friends
etc etc etc
BUT NOW EVEN GOD HIMSELF admitted to her
and as the SUPREME AND SACRED RULER
of this universe and while consisting
of many many more GALAXIES
way way beyond the nearest stars
but even for him
he couldn't exactly follow
"VERDA'S" unusual way of keeping her word
EVEN GOD was embarrassed to admit it
that he couldn't quite follow her vow
or that the way that she came out with
7 days of the week
but still one day was named "JIMMY"
as she was "JIMMY'S" mum
and he was her first child
like she had said
way back at the beginning
of this strange but true
and yes of course
within a heart beat
this very weird, weird, weird story
summary
sometimes truth
is stranger than fiction
like in Verda's story
