Mistakes are made
Lessons are learned
Relationships fail
People are burned
My mom always says
"Learn from my mistakes"
Because it hurts her more
To see my heart ache
A friend told me
If you trust to much
You may be decieved
But if you dont trust at all
You will be in agony
I talked to him
He got with her
I talked some more
But he went overboard
Life is a game
And we are all in it to win
But we all make mistakes
And die in the end
Im greatful for mistakes
For they help me learn
So that when I have my own kids
I can help them avoid the burn
Mistakes:
Misplaced affections are doomed failure, and can be very painfull. How to avoid the burn? I like your poem.

Real
Quite the realist are not you? I can almost sense the emotion in your words as I read.
thank you so much!
At the time I just needed to vent but didnt have friends to talk to. I just wrote in a pattern based on on the schooling I have focused myself on.
I didnt really realize what realism was back then, because I wasnt really that into poetry. I would just spill my guts with form. only now, looking back at some of my stuff do I realize how emotional I really was at the time.
Thank you for reading and also for your comment. Quite a compliment
