Insomniac
I want to sleep..
I close my eyes, I lay back
but I can never sleep
I'm an insomniac
I don't know why
I just can't sleep
when my eyes are heavy
and my body is weak
I don't need your help
your advise nor your pity
it just makes me feel inferior
like I am 'itty-bitty'
When I am too tired to function
I take 5 'sleeping tablets'
then lay wide eyed
on my Tempur-Pedic mattress

Twas a pleasure to visit "A Day in The Life of Jenna" as I have had my moments of insomnia. Tis a horrific experience in my opinion. Although I do not recommend the tablets, it was a great idea at the time. :-(

Sometimes I just don't sleep
Sometimes I just don't sleep for a a day or two. The poems I write during those times make it sound like i'm on drugs or something...

I go for months without sleep at times.. have you no woder as to why my poems are the way they are..? I wrote that around am 6 am, I would say, after taking a few tylonol pms and smoking/drinking

months? wow. that must be really bad for your health. and drinking is a quick fix that worsens insomnia. but wow. but your poems are nice. so, don't go to sleep. well...actually...nevermind.
