You don't want this
You should trust me
I'm not worth it
Stay with your family
Don't give up now
I'ts been years
Already been through
The sweat and tears
You are just bored
And you want my body
I must say all of this
Sure makes you seem shoddy
If you cheat on her with me
How do I know, that when you're mine
You won't lie to me
Is this a sign?
I think you need to stay right where you're at
And work out the problems with your wife
After all, she is the one with whom
You said you will spend the rest of your life
hurting
Somebody always gets hurt in that kind of situation. When a relationship dies emotionaly & physically, respect and overall need will soon follow. You no-longer have that connection you once had. This could/can all be one sided. This doesn't necessarily mean a break-up but rather a 'break-down.' While holding on, one might seek to fill that void, to feel wanted again. In the case of a man, this is where "The Mistress" comes in to the picture. I know this is not the case for all men. Facts be said, some, if not most, are just out to get some on the side. Others are truly hurting and when they try to alleviate that pain, they unavoidably hurt others. Your poem was heart felt. I feel your pain. Yes, I feel your pain.
