Promise me a family
With eternal happiness
Promise me we'll live
In euphoric bliss
Promise me success
In my family
Promise we'll be harmonious
Like a melody
Promise you wont give up on me
When things get to be tough
Promise me in 50 years
That you will not give up
Promise me sanity
In this crazy world
Promise you'll fall deeper
As our life unfurls
Promise that you'll help me
When alone, I am too weak
Promise me I'll be desired
As of now I'm just a freak
Promise me children
And to be my friend
Promise to be here for me
Until the very end
Promise that when I die
I will rest in peace
Promise there will be happiness
And the laughter will increase
Promise me for a fact
That our love will grow
OR
Promise me an honesty
And tell me you don't know
Promises
The poem rhyms very well, but is full of uncertainty for the future. But the poem has hope for the couple and admires all things many people take for granted. I loved the poem.
