Now I lay me down to weep,
I pray the Lord my soul to sleep,
And when I die before I wake,
I pray I reach those pearly gates,
Should fiery Hell be what awaits,
For dark thoughts so full of hate,
Then be it so, for I will dine,
With hordes like me cause you will find,
Words of truth within each line,
This world is full of souls like mine.
And if you're light dont be sublime,
And if you're salt, be flavored fine,
Lights on a hill in blackest night,
Show the world that wrong's not right,
And hate's not love and black's not white.
Then I will lay me down to sleep,
With peaceful heart not full of grief,
All it takes is one to start,
To change the world to change our hearts.
