Among us all, I see you different and special – your generosity, your persistence gleams among our large family.
Although you are built smaller in size, your heart generates an enormous volume of care, thoughtfulness and kindness.
Your hair of silver and mind of gold - stores and shares with us your wealth of knowledge, fairness and justice.
Your gestures, stares, and smiles deliver to us not just comfort, but confidence and hope - to lead and walk with you to our destinations together.
Your readiness and eagerness to scout ahead reminds me of Philippides, the messenger who ran from the Battle of Marathon to Athens to report victory.
To me, you are God’s gift to us, the brothers of SJC 74, to keep us intact, to love and care for each other – through your kindness, examples and leadership.
