Her heart of gold,
His eyes of silver,
Their fates intertwined as one.

He was a caged bird,
Forever without freedom,
But she was his heaven,
His escape from his life of rules.

She had freedom,
Too much of it.
He kept her grounded.
He helped her focus.

She was his angel,
He was her knight,
They lived for each other,
Not even a separate thought.

They loved,
They lived.
Fear was lost.
No longer did they have to worry,
Of the meaning of life.

Fate had brought them together,
Not even destiny could pull them apart.
So, when the killer approached her,
He was there to save her.

They died together,
At a very old age.
They were content with life,
They welcomed death, brave.

Her heart was gold,
His eyes were silver,
Intertwined by fate,
For forever more.
