Your Ship

The sun at times shines

The sky rains

But we continue

In our venue

And regrettably our pains.

We grasp at silken threads

And try to hold fast,

Tears mixed with raindrops

Body in a cast.

But friends are as islands

In the storm tossed sea

And of all your ports of call

The safest I will be.

My arms surround your ship

And wash away the rain

My heart will ever hold you

To take away your pain.

I really love that stanza. This is another very smooth write, and very beautiful!
