He caught us all, everyone of us
Before the laughter turned quiet,
Before the tear dried on the cheek.
It seems as though he always did it
Before the snow had melted to ice
And that to mud. And in his words
We are more than alive, we are well.
Through his full understanding of us
We came to understand
That nothing gold can stay.
Beautifully spoken. This is one of my favorites for sure.
So far, this is my favorite. How can you say so much with so few words? Very deep and wise, this one.
