It's tornado season!
How horrible
To hear the locomotive roar
Overhead.
Shelter is taken
Within a house of straw
And fear dwells
Beside the prayers.
The trembling
Is never ending
As that which seemed solid
Shakes,
Shakes upon what was perceived
As firmament.
This made my mind go abstract, if that's the right word. I thought about the emotions you described and the landscape destruction you painted. I thought about how the two are equally deadly, if not more so when it's internal. It was truly insightful for me and I think others will also enjoy this read. Great write.
I especially loved the line "And fear dwells beside the prayers." Brilliant.
