Quatrains

Each season has its beauty

Each beauty has its time

Each time has its reason

Each reason has its rhyme.

*************************

Who builds a better home

For shelter and for food

None but the spider

Does it half as good.

*************************

I think I've found the meaning of

The tree, the rock and grass

They all are here to sit upon

When it's time to rest your ass.

*************************

To guide, to guide, I mean to guide

Which means that I must walk beside

And show the things that try to hide

In morning sun or eventide.

***********************************************

Sitting among the flowers in the garden

Thinking of the way that nature goes

I thought how wonderful it was of the warden

That we should have this beauty after snow.

***********************************************

Hello mouse.  Still too cold outside?

I've missed your visits by the hearth at night

It's been so long I thought you died

But I never forgot to leave you a bite.
