Something that reminds me of you
a spent smile a twisted joke a buttercup emptied and drunk
a sanguine symphony
watching carmen
Embittered encroached eroded resentment building lust loaded
Or a silly slap stick comedy
battlements built then encapsulated in it wasn't me's
Not my decision forget about its
fallen soldiers comrades in war but left without ceremony on hot unceremonial ground
dry bones and hot heads
sultry speeches and unethical promises
Lost lives again and again
dry mouths empty words and poeticless prose
OUR LEADERS OUR MOSES OUR BETTERS
OR NOT ?
THEY LEAVE US WITH HEADACHES AND HEARTACHES AND OPEN QUESTIONS
AND CRYPTIC CLUES
I'm left with a question
are they or we the fools?
true and based on reality... love this poem.... miss your words...
