"Older Man"

Older Man

Remember the first time you came to get my siblings and me; trying to show us how to have a little fun?

Remember when I used to fight, get in trouble, was rebellious, and was the “angry one”?

Remember how you tried to encourage me to be social, strong, and a “tough boy”?

Remember how I was the outcast, you trying to cheer me up, but there was nothing I would enjoy?

You were always trying to encourage me to “just relax, and stop being so uptight?”

Well, if you only knew me now, you’d see that my transition is as different as day and night!

If only you knew how much I admired your persistence, determination, and definitely your consistency.

Your support was greatly welcomed, though I never told you; you really made a difference in me.

I remember admiring your leadership, your politeness, and constant affection.

I remember wanting to tell you what I really thought, but, fearing an embarrassing rejection.

I not only looked forward to your guidance and direction; I often dreamed of being alone with you at your own election.

I wanted you to comfort me in the most intimate of ways.

I truly envisioned being with you for the rest of my days.

Through our time spent together I guess I developed a sort of crush.

Just a hint of your un-divided attention would give me a gigantic rush.

You never knew of my wishes or unfulfilled desires.

But, that’s usually the way it is, we usually are unaware of what the other admires.

I guess it’s better to keep things the way they are.

Because you’d probably be over-whelmed with my revelations of a lust from afar.

In conclusion I bid you thanks for being the apple of my eye.

Please…. No questions, just be happy with my confession, no need to ask why!

Author's Notes/Comments:

I love older men what can I say? I think it stems from the fact I desired/inquired about the lack of love my father had for me.
