"Slow jam confession"

“Slow Jam Confession”

Listening to slow jams on the radio inspires me to write soo much.

But I think of you and suddenly I feel I've lost my touch!

Romance is what the man is singing about.

He's a fool to beleive in love no doubt!

Why chase after something that doesn't truly exist?

If you've never experienced true love, how will you know what you've missed?

Yes the moment is perfect and I should flow about good feelings with ease.

But for some reason I'm not motivated because of the needs you've failed to please!

Leave the late night slow jams for dem fools who still have faith love is worth the heartache!

I refuse to join them cuz god knows I don't agree and I for damn sure refuse to fake!

Author's Notes/Comments:

I wrote this poem after being upset that I always listen to music as therapy and how it reminds you of personal experiences and encourages you to endure the trials and tribulations of the maintainence of a meaningful and true relationship.
