Full Moon

Folder:
Divine Revelation

It all began with a new moon
when the earth was
blanketed in darkness.

And suddenly a voice thundered,
“Let there be light”.

The Son was born.

All the planets orbited around Him,
the universe centered upon a baby boy.

The earth rejected the light,
instead rotating back into obscurity.

But the moon drew closer,
reflecting light given by the Son,
mirroring the image of an invisible God,
fulfilling what it was created to do.

At times, it went through phases.

A shadow would be cast
as the world came between
the Son and the moon,
blocking the moon’s ability
to reflect the Son fully.

But when the two were perfectly aligned,
the moon soaked in the complete radiance
of the Son and transmitted its light
for the whole world to see.

Excellent

Your pen name is indeed accurate, as you have made a great spiritual metaphor out of the moon, and it is a positive metaphor (something I have not seen done with the moon very much; I am thinking along the lines of how Wilde used it in his play, Salome).  Your observations are very well stated.
