Broken Girl

Folder:

The heart of a innocent girl
was torn apart by a broken man
who didn't know how to be a father.

These pictures replay in your mind
and keep you chained to your past
no matter how hard you try to forget.

The reflection staring back in the mirror
is that of an crying child wrapped
in the flesh of a grown woman.

You tried to escape your brokenness
but it cuts deep, reminding you
that you are damaged beyond repair.

But your scars are not too much
for the One who heals all wounds;
he can take even the most broken girl
and put her back together again.
