Things Never Change

Society We face ups and downs
but everything reaches an equilibrium,
a pendulum without the wind.
Everything stays the same;
we speak of progress
of transformation.
But when weighed
any advancement comes
with its own set of drawbacks.
There is no true change,
just slight deviations from the norm
that in time will return
to where they used to be.
