God (Inspired by) I was so fearful of stepping outside my door,
the risk of rejection enough to make me stay alone.
But love found me there,
peeked through the keyhole
and unlocked my heart.
I was overwhelmed by the guilt and shame
that crowded my mind with self-hate.
But love found me there,
and filled my heart to overflowing
so there was no room for the hurt.
