and silent treatments.
But you showed up
and promised the world
and I believed you
though I know better.

and broke my heart,
it shouldn't have come

so why did I buy into
that cheap imitation?

better than nothing
even if it wasn't
the real thing.
Now that I know real
honest-to-God love,
it's a shame I wasted
all those years on you.

But what great joy it is when you finally see through the Façade and you see who they really are and you leave torn. So much more peaceful.
