It all traces back to you 

like a scar buried beneath new flesh

I have scratched at it 

until it bled me dry

Now I must claw myself out 

of the mess I've made

[because of your rejection]

Pain was compounded 

when heartbreak permeated

A snowflake became an avalanche

and now I've made myself a tomb

[all because I wanted that feeling back]
