I am a haunted house.

Something died here
long ago but it still
roams through the rooms.

I allow the ghosts of my past
to reside in my halls.

They have made a home
and I'm too afraid to
ask them to leave.

I live with the pain;
it keeps me company.

I invited you inside
to join me within
my haunted places.

I let you walk through
the rooms that held
my fears and my dreams.

You met me here
in the midst of my mess,
inside my brokenness.

You helped me
send the ghosts away
and replace them with love.
