All locked up and stifled
By a swallowed key
Where no stumbler shall stumble by
Where my feelings dwell
Stifled like a newborn seed
Nurtured neath the earth
Oh, why oh why
Such a slow drip wait
Dry of thirsty patience
I'm but watching icicles grow
Waiting for our time
To bloom the seed
Of pollened love
For it cannot linger low
Or shall I wrinkle to a prune
Like fingers bubble-bathed
For the seed is but a breeze
An incomplete breath
No exhale to match inhale
Every breath by my shiver-fested tongue
Must but leave the premisese
Or it shall poison everything
As does love
