You know and so you can afford

To leave me all alone

Go for a walk and return

To find me standing there

In the rain or the scorching sun

In a storm or a starry night

Waiting for you to come back

And just cast a glance

With those deep brown eyes



You know and so you can afford

To ignore me and my feelings

My emotions my worries

You know I'll be there

To absorb your moods and whims

To listen to all you have to say

To be with you when no one is there



I know and so I can't

Afford to leave your side

Because you might ne'er even notice

Or search for me if I'm gone



I know and you know too

That I'm deeply in love with you

That you will never love me so

That it won't bother you to break my heart

That it'll bring tears in my eyes if you wince

That you'll simply walk ahead if I die.
