Going Home

After many summers have passed,

I am going home at last,

To my dear mother,

She is the one that my soul is after.

Going to the place that I love so much,

I have literally not seen such,

A place so far,

Which I hold so dear ever.

The air, the beauty, the liveliness,

And so on do bring happiness,

In my heart,

That can’t tolerate when it’s time to part.

My bosom friends are there,

True companions they are,

Oh! It has been long since I talked to them,

Each to me is a gem.

Even if going I am for a few days only,

I can’t wait to see that city,

Where the mountains stand like Mount Olympus proudly,

The rivers and lakes run like snakes along with the sea.
