First hatred, first blood, first murder,

A matter of deep-seated shame,

Cain put his younger brother to death,

Abel was his name!

Cain, the first being to be born,

Abel, the first being to die,

The earth tasted the blood,

With a quiet and poignant sigh!

God was utterly angry with Cain,

And pushed him towards pain!
