CRACK IN THE WALL

The wall had stood firm and strong,

During the heat and snow-cold,

Not even a peel on the paint,

Until the heat that hit so hard.

Thunder struck from the sky,

Lightning spread from the sky,

Leaving the wall pierced and shaky,

A crack in the wall revealed.

A lengthy aperture on our wall,

Running from top to bottom,

Revealing our “secrets” long hidden,

Our security no longer sure.

Snakes and scorpions invade,

Infesting our unity with virus,

To break us apart forever,

Through this crack in the wall.

Now we are exposed, which shouldn't be,

We are ashamed, shocked and shaken,

But we must rise quickly to amend,

To cover this crack in our wall.

reminder

Your face radiates compassion and consciousness.

Your metaphor is a powerful reminder to repair the cracks in our auras.

Your poem reminds me of a line by the Saint of Shirdi: "Never harm a snake or a scorpion.
He will only harm you if ordered to do so by God. If so ordered there is nothing you can do about
it"
