WHEN THE DUST SETTLES

The storms rage,

Threatening rain,

But only causing pain,

And turning us pale.

The wind blows,

Darkening the blues,

Weakening the brave

Causing them to bow.

The sea is furious,

The waters roar and foam,

Tossing even the fat,

Making them fall.

The dust is scattered

Darkening the sky,

Obscuring our sight,

But when the dust settles, I shall keep standing.

Life is full of storms,

Covering the world with sand,

But when the dust settles,

I shall keep standing.

Author's Notes/Comments:

In the midst of storms of life, Hope is all we need to keep our dream! No dust that is raised that would not settle.
