Fall Serenade

Birds so beautiful, sky so bright!

Come sunny day and come starry night.

Gold and crimson in the trees

Dancing with the autumn breeze.

In the sky the sun is gold.

The flowers swaying, oh so bold!

Silvery oak standing proud and grand.

The world so quiet, never bland.

The grass is turning golden with the change of season.

Some things have their mysteries,

But nature has her reasons.

A gentle coolness sweeps through the field.

Soon a nest the squirrel will build.

The pungent smell of earth fills my lungs.

The sky not leaving a trace of

Where the grey clouds once hung.

Two bluebirds are playing chase,

Flying, flying in a race!

Oh how I love this blissful time

When the music of nature flows with song and rhyme.

Birds so beautiful, sky so bright!

Come sunny day and come starry night.
