Feeling Fine

Other Stuff Somebody got shot somewhere.
Somebody got ill.
Somebody got thrown in jail.
And somebody’s hurting still,
But it was a good day for me today,
and I’m feeling fine.
Somebody got raped somewhere.
Somebody just died.
Somebody blew their brains out.
No one heard them when they cried.
But it was a good day for me today,
and I’m feeling fine.
It’s kind of hard to feel so good
when the whole world’s such a mess.
You gotta know how to turn it all off
Or you’ll be consumed by stress.
Don’t try to change your feelings.
Don’t force yourself to feel worse.
Empathy is such a blessing.
But guilt is such a curse.
Somebody lost a loved one today.
Somebody went blind.
Somebody lost everything they had.
And someone just lost their mind.
But it was a good day for me today,
and I’m feeling fine.
You said this so beatifully, i love the way you said it , or wrote it out, the words are truth and its so hard to find that these days.. well done..thank you for sharing..
