I Really Wanted Something More for Us, Paige

Folder:
5-Reflection

I made it through a lifetime

and was ready to just slow down.

Find a cave or something.

A hole inside the ground

I knew it was time to change things.

I'd already burnt the sage.

I really wanted something more for us, Paige.

You worked on all my chakras.

I felt the energy flow.

I tried to give you a little bit

of everything I know.

On the day I met you I was trying hard

to break out of a cage.

I really wanted something more for us, Paige.

Something more then my heart feeling

like it was dropped out of a plane.

Something more then seeing myself

as lost and barely sane.

Something more then lying there

while you took away all my pain.

One week later I'm feeling it again.

I made it through another day

without doing something rash.

I made it through those feelings

that come and go in a flash.

I can see it's over

but it's hard to disengage.

I really wanted something more for us, Paige.
